ACTIVITIES

Broky was one of the founders of Dutch DJ-crew The Wax Wankerz.This crew made music with the turntables: turntablism From 2000 to 2004 Broky did a lot of shows with this crew. A highlight was a performance in Vredenburg,Utrecht(The Netherlands) where the WW had to make a mix of Strawinsky’s Sacre Du Printemps and hip-hop beats. The same piece was conducted that night by “Het Radio Philharmonisch Orkest”.

In 2003 the WW toured all over The Netherlands with dance group Ish in a show called “Kicks”. This show featured 4 dancers and 3 DJ’s, a rare thing to witness in theatres.

Recently Broky did a solo project with another orchestra: Het Brabants Orkest. This time he mixed Strawinsky’s Firebird with drum’n bass and hip-hop.

From 1999 to 2004 Broky was part of theatre group Ish. With them he made many productions and toured acrossHolland. Ish performed at all prominent theatres including the Royal Theatre Carr矩n Amsterdam. The group also touredBelgium, theUSAand Canada.Together with Ish and Toneelgroep Amsterdam he was in a production called Heroish. Again this production was a crossover of styles: dj-ing, dance, acting.
